Aqueous lining (also called a water-based coating) is a thin protective barrier used in food packaging. Unlike traditional linings like PE (polyethylene) or PLA (polylactic acid), aqueous lining soaks into the paper fibers rather than sitting on top. This means less material is needed to provide the same leakproof and grease-resistant properties.
